Professional A Certificate
|

A Professional A Certificate confers eligibility to teach all subjects to students in all grades in Saskatchewan’s publicly funded school system. |

Standard A Certificate |
|
A Standard A Certificate confers eligibility to teach all subjects to students in all grades in Saskatchewan’s publicly funded school system. It may be provided to individuals who are certified in another Canadian province, who have completed an education program, but do not hold a full degree. |

Professional B Certificate |
|
A Professional B Certificate confers eligibility to teach a specified subject and related subjects (the Area of Endorsement) to students in all grades in Saskatchewan’s publicly funded school system. The Area of Endorsement may be any curricular subject. |

Vocational Certificate |
|
A Vocational Certificate confers eligibility to teach a specified subject and related subjects (the Area of Endorsement), to students in all grades in Saskatchewan’s publicly funded school system. The Area of Endorsement is typically a trade for which a journeyperson’s certificate is available. |

Technical Certificate |
|
A Technical Certificate confers eligibility to teach a specified subject and related subjects (the Area of Endorsement) to students in all grades in Saskatchewan’s publicly funded school system. The Area of Endorsement is typically a technology-based subject. |

Probationary B Certificate
|
|
A Probationary B Certificate confers eligibility to teach all subjects to students in all grades at a specified Independent School. |

Temporary Teaching Permit (TTP) |
|
A TTP confers eligibility to teach a specific subject(s)(the Area(s) of Endorsement) to a specific grade(s) at a specific location(s). |

Permanent |
|
A permanent certificate does not expire unless otherwise noted. |

Provisional |
|
A provisional certificate expires and must be renewed annually until such time any condition for permanent certification is met. |

Temporary |
|
A temporary certificate or permit is valid for a set period and is subject to annual application. |
| |
Suspended |
|
A suspended certificate is not valid during the suspension period. A suspension may occur as a result of a disciplinary order or a consensual complaint resolution agreement (CCRA). The notes section of the public register will provide additional detail. |
| |
Cancelled |
|
A cancelled certificate is no longer valid. A cancellation may occur as a result of a disciplinary order or the voluntarily surrendered of a certificate by its holder. The notes section of the public register will provide additional detail. |
