Bridging to Teach in Saskatchewan Certificate Programs

These certificate programs, approved by the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB), are designed specifically for Internationally Educated Teachers (IETs) who are required to complete additional coursework to be eligible to hold a Saskatchewan Teachers Certificate, as specified in the SPTRB certification assessment email notification letter they received.

* If the coursework option outlined in the assessment email is chosen, a Provisional Professional A Certificate will be awarded upon completion of all coursework. Provisional Professional A Certificates must be renewed annually. The holder will have a maximum of 4 years to meet the condition requiring completion of 190 days of successful employment as a teacher within an approved Saskatchewan K - 12 school setting and a recommendation for certification from their employer before a permanent Professional A Certificate can be issued.
